Soccer Pups provides a revenue sharing program with all of our partners. When Soccer Pups comes to your location, we donate back to you!

Fundamentals with sensory balls!

Soccer Pups uses a variety of methods to engage our friends with creativity. Sensory balls are very light and have a steady bounce to them. In this example, Coach Nina is encouraging our friends to bounce the ball off their head and catch it.

Why?

Often times in soccer we see players that are apprehensive to win the ball in the air. Furthermore, as younger ages, heading the ball is discouraged due to safety issues in physical development.

However, exercises like these can teach technique without risking the safety issues associated with heading a heavier soccer ball. Therefore, adolescent players, when ready to use their heads, will have some sort of understanding of foundational technique incorporated with heading. Psychologically, they have confidence to win the ball in the air.

Positive behaviors like these are what Soccer Pups is all about!

Another fun day with Soccer Pups 💙❤️

During today’s sessions, we began with a parachute bubble party! We always welcome our friends in with an inviting activity that is instantly inclusive to everyone. We also added some popcorn (sensory balls) on top of the parachute!

We incorporate colors, numbers, shapes, animals, and music into all of our exercises. Though the organization is called “Soccer Pups”, we do much more than soccer.

We are looking forward to another awesome week. ❤️💙
